11/10/2022 0 Comments Pineapple margarita![]() I threw in some triple sec to at least retain a bit of a citrus taste, and if you’re familiar with my past recipes, you’ll know that I love spice, which explains the smoky punch the chipotle brings to this. Featuring our real tequila, triple sec, and pineapple juice, this margarita is tart and tropical with notes of ripe fruit to balance its bold agave spirit. So I researched fruits native to that country that weren’t limes, and pineapple jumped out at me. (If I have too many of them I’ll forget anyway, am I right?) Margaritas come in all flavors and colors-and I’m sure I didn’t invent the pineapple variety-but I really wanted to make something that that was authentic to Mexico, while still being somewhat unique. Shake for 30 seconds until chilled and then strain the margaritas into serving glasses with fresh ice. Add the pineapple juice, orange juice, lime juice and tequila into a large shaker and stir to combine, add a few cubes of ice. Once damp, coat the rim in the salt and tajin mixture. Since I don’t love tequila, I tried to put a few really good flavors in this drink to help me forget it’s in there. Run a wedge of lime across the top of 3-4 cocktail glasses. It can be super simple like a Vodka Cranberry or it can be more complicated like a classic Mai Tai. By now we all know that I love a good cocktail. Just 4 ingredients to make this easy and delicious cocktail. ![]() Wet the rim of a rocks glass with the slice of lime, and gently rotate the rim into the sugar and pepper mix to coat the edge of the glass evenly. The sweet pineapple makes it extra tasty. Combine the sugar and black pepper in a shallow dish. The result was this delicious Pineapple Chipotle Margarita. Pineapple Margarita a fun twist on the classic margarita. It’s Cinco de Mayo week! That means Americans everywhere will load up on Mexican food and tequila drinks, and who am I to get in the way? I’m not much of a margarita guy, so I thought I’d try to come up with something that would make me change my mind. 3 oz pineapple juice 1.5 oz lime juice 1 oz orange liqueur 1/2 oz simple syrup optional Instructions Add all ingredients into the bottom of a shaker and fill 1/2 way with ice. ![]()
